Contract CFO- P.E. Portfolio Firm
A leading private equity firm is establishing an Office of the CFO and is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a key role in financial leadership across its portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have a Big Four background and deep expertise in Quality of Earnings (QoE), financial modeling, valuations, and financial due diligence (FDD). Experience in restructuring is highly preferred but not required.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the firm's portfolio companies, with potential for contract-to-hire arrangements within a portfolio firm, though this is not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead financial due diligence (FDD), valuations, and quality of earnings (QoE) analyses.
Develop and refine financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Partner with private equity stakeholders to optimize financial performance across portfolio companies.
Implement and improve financial reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiencies.
Support M&A activity, post-merger integration, and restructuring efforts as needed.
Serve as a strategic advisor on capital structure, liquidity management, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications & Experience:
15-25+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably with Big Four background.
Strong expertise in financial due diligence, valuations, and quality of earnings (QoE).
Deep financial modeling experience with a proven track record in private equity environments.
Restructuring experience is a strong plus but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth private equity setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Compensation & Structure:
Contract position with the potential for contract-to-hire within a portfolio company (not required).
