Senior Associate – Transaction Advisory / Financial Modeling
A leading financial advisory and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Chicago-area team. This opportunity is ideal for a finance or accounting professional with 3+ years of experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, audit, or a related financial consulting environment.
The Senior Associate will work on complex client engagements involving financial analysis, transaction advisory, and financial modeling. We are particularly interested in candidates coming from Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) or professionals who began their careers in audit and transitioned into transaction-related work.
Responsibilities
- Build, analyze, and maintain detailed financial models
- Perform financial statement and transaction-related analysis
- Support transaction advisory and financial due diligence engagements
- Analyze historical and projected financial performance
- Identify key financial trends, risks, and business drivers
- Assist with Quality of Earnings and other transaction-related analyses
- Work directly with senior team members and client management
- Prepare clear, concise financial analyses and client deliverables
- Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Background in Transaction Advisory Services, Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence, Audit, Deal Advisory, or related financial consulting
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize complex financial information and communicate findings clearly
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- CPA or progress toward a CPA is a plus

Compensation
Base Salary: $110,000–$115,000
Bonus: Target opportunity of up to approximately 30%
